Aliens in search of alternative power sources? Ecotricity |
Damage to a Ecotricity wind turbine in Lincolnshire has been attributed to a mystery aircraft.
The turbine at Conisholme lost one 66ft (20m) blade and had another badly damaged in the early hours of Sunday. Local UFO groups have had teams searching for clues. A spokesman from the local group has mentioned that there has been a lot of UFO activity in the area. Reports have even mentioned a octopus shape aircraft hovering over the turbine. Ecotricity, which owns the site, are continuing investigations and have said they are not ruling anything out - though the extent of damage was "unique". To make one of these blades fall off, or to bend it, takes a lot Dale Vince, Ecotricity. While UFO experts said they were "excited" by the incident, investigators are looking at other possible theories to explain the "unique incident". These included lightning, ice falling from an aircraft and material fatigue. The turbine is one of 20 at the Conisholme site, which has been running for three years. The broken blade has been recovered and is being examined. The Ministry of Defence said it was not looking into the incident. "Unless there's evidence of a potential threat, there's no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported." image sourced from Louth News For more news stories - even hit the Sydney Morning Herald!!
