Recent news from Innocent is kids smoothies are going on trial in a few branches of McDonalds in the North East. Innocent statistics state that over 90% of children in the UK do not receive their daily intake of fruit.
Innocent not only discussed the pros and cons idea with their staff, but even polled their regular drinkers a few weeks ago. Responses were quite varied with 72% said they would actively like Innocent to be in McDonald’s, 17% said they didn’t care, and 9% said Innocent shouldn’t be there. Innocent says they simply wouldn’t have done it if the opposite had been true. Have Innocent become too fruity in mixing with the burgers by forgetting that the amount of waste McDonald's produces, will they be happy to see their containers strewn around the English Countryside even more? Perhaps Innocent are perhaps not that innocent after all.
