FA Cup Final Tickets

FA Cup final tickets are the hottest property in town today. The FA Cup Final is tomorrow between Chelsea and Everton. A quick look on the FA cup final ticket sale sites and it will only cost you upwards of £500 to have a seat at the match. No problem!!!!

This started as a story about how £30 was a crazy price for a Chelsea football shirt for a 9 year old but has evolved into a story about the Google Wheel!

When I first looked at Google’s latest buzzing widget yesterday I was very cautious. I know how addictive new toys can be after buying my first Nintendo 20 years ago. I had to give it to the kid across the street after a few months as it was taking over my life!!! He brought me a bottle of wine over, fair swap!

Yesterday I just popped in and popped out of the Google Wheel thinking I’m not sure... today, with a mission, it is looking good.

This morning I started with FA Cup as it was early! I looked at Wordtracker and Google’s Search based Keyword Tool and they showed me results I could work with, great...

But then I tried FA Cup Final Tickets because that is what many people will be searching now as the game is only a day away. Very little on Wordtracker, Google’s tool is looking better but the Google Wheel had much more relevance bringing in FA Cup Final Tickets, FA Cup 2007 (that was a Chelsea, Man U affair), FA Cup Fixtures, Carling Cup, FA Cup history, Premiership, Champions League, FA Cup results. Now these are all related and will be very much the sort of thing that journalists will be looking for to write their story for the FA Cup Final this weekend.

This means that the Google Wheel is working in real time. This is what we need as business lead generators. We need the hottest, latest, searches that are being conducted by real people in real time so we can deliver content that is highly relevant to the moment... not to last week or 2 weeks time... to today and next week ... that’s what is in our minds as humans, the NOW!

Well done Google, another great widget...

While we are on it makes sense to help you understand the online marketing space a little more as I have done the research this morning and you may as well read the headline summary of my thoughts. If you would like to know more please call 01753 852904 and I’ll be happy to chew the cud!

Alternatively, book for our Online Marketing Magic event, next Friday in Windsor, UK.

Or, if you would like to give us your thoughts on the potential result of the match tomorrow then please call 0161 369 7766 and leave us a message of under 60 seconds and we’ll print it on our Wembley space for the world to see! (Just waiting on a message from Stuart, a United fan who went to Rome for the Champions League game).

My thoughts...
This site has 251 pages indexed by Google and 791 links. Not as many as some but plenty and the word count that relate to FA, Cup, Final & Tickets is massive as their mission is to sell tickets and this is the main event!

My thoughts...
21,700 pages indexed, 8760 links on Google, massive, but the word count on the page is less than the guys in the top spot and see how that 2009 is dropped in there. Makes logical sense but dilutes the relevance by just enough to knock it down a few places. Note how the first line of the description starts with Fantastic... again, wasted on computers, great for people!
