Eye Test - Sunglasses - Contact Lenses - Eye Health Several muscles are connected to your eyes. By contracting and relaxing, these muscles swivel your eyes in the direction you want. But like any muscle, they benefit from being kept in shape.

In the case of your eye muscles, regular exercise will increase their strength while improving circulation to the eye as a whole. Not only that, a recent study* suggests moving your eyes from side to side for 30 seconds every morning can boost memory by up to 10 per cent!

So put aside five minutes each day to take your eyes through a gentle work-out. You can do these exercises anywhere – eating breakfast, lying in the bath or chilling on the sofa. (Though we don't advise doing them at your local pub!)

Within two or three weeks you should start feeling the effect of having fitter eyes.
