Earth and stars tastings
Vintage Roots organic and biodynamic wines trade and press tasting
Monday 11 February
Paintworks
Bristol
Wednesday 12 March
The Worx
London
During February and March 2008 we will be hosting a series of tasting events to celebrate our twenty-first year in business. We’ll be showcasing some of the top wines from our portfolio of over 300, all from the very best organic vineyards in the world. We invite you to join us and up to five of our producers at one of the special venues we have lined up.
Celebrate!
Biodynamic champagne producer Jean-Pierre Fleury has helped launch our twenty-first celebrations with top awards at the 2007 International Wine Challenge (IWC). His superb 1996 vintage scooped both Gold and Trophy for Best Young Vintage Champagne, and went on to win a second Trophy for Best Biodynamic Wine too. Overall Fleury was awarded an incredible six medals for the four champagnes he entered. Taste them all with us and the Fleury family.
Biodynamics
We’re convinced it’s no coincidence that many of our best organic wines are also biodynamic. We’ll have a wide range of biodynamic wines to show at this tasting, including the Emiliana Orgánico range from Chile’s top exponent of biodynamics, Alvaro Espinoza, winner of the prestigious Wine Personality of the Year at the IWC 2007.
Other biodynamic allstars will include The Millton Vineyards (New Zealand), Meinklang (Austria), La Raia (Italy), Bossard (France), and Ferraton Hermitage (France).
Other highlights to mention are our top Spanish portfolio which includes three wines listed in the Top 100 of the New Wave Spanish Wine Awards 2007, organised by Wines of Spain. The No added sulphur range from Stellar vineyards in South Africa is surely ground breaking too, and will be joined by many other wines from new estates.
Success from quality and experience
At the forefront of organic wine sales in the UK, we have noticed a real increase in public demand and trade interest in quality organic wine – and more and more producers 'going organic' in efforts to make better, healthier wine. We are proud to be working with so many highly talented, passionate wine makers who have helped us maintain our position as the UK’s leading organic wine specialists and leaders in this growing market sector.
Enjoy the ambience
On top of the unrivalled organic wine experience we have planned, we’d like to let you know that we’ve chosen some exciting venues to host our events. From the Carlton Suite on the roof terrace of the stylish 5-star Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh, to Bristol’s hip Paintworks, a successful regeneration project which has fast become the area’s arts and media centre. Last but not least to The Worx, London, a unique contemporary photo studio and events complex which hosts productions for many of the world’s top fashion, film and music stars. Light refreshments will be available around lunchtime.
Carry on celebrating
To help three of our guests carry on celebrating, we are offering the fantastic prize of a magnum of Fleury 1996 Trophy-winning champagne. Everyone who attends will be entered into the prize draws, with one lucky winner at each venue.
To accept this invitation please call 0118 976 1999 or email trade@vintageroots.co.uk stating which venue you will be attending.
Yours sincerely
