Launch of new business group
|
On Thursday 2 October, a new business group called The Business Forum will be launched at Wellington College, Crowthorne, for the local business community to create networking opportunities and discuss key business issues.
The group will meet on the first Thursday of each a month over breakfast from 7.15am to 9.15am and the launch event will have “Is your business recession proof? – a Barrow Boy’s guide to surviving a recession” as it’s theme. A brief talk will be given by Paul Lower FCMA, who has over twenty years experience as Financial Director for several international entertainment, media and retail companies. He will then lead a discussion based around this theme, calling on attendees to put forward their own views or experiences. Local businesses from across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey are being invited to attend and more information about the event, a booking form and directions to Wellington College can be found on www.thebusinessforum.biz. The cost of attending is £18 including a full English breakfast. Sue Heddon, the organiser of The Business Forum said: “Networking is the most successful way for many business people to build partnerships, find services and identify new business opportunities.
