Get Free Marketing and Thousands of Pounds Worth of FREE Incentives from Other Businesses
Vince Golder of Goldnet Referral Marketing, shares some ideas on how to get other businesses to provide you with thousands of pounds worth of high quality incentives FREE, to dramatically improve marketing results for your own and your client’s businesses.
Any good marketing expert will tell you using incentives are very important in any marketing campaign to increase response and results.
Incentives motivate a quicker positive and desired action by existing customers and new prospects and cover that first basic instinct reaction from recipients i.e. "What's in it for me". Incentives can be successfully used in surveys, competitions, sales campaigns, to gain appointments, sales, referrals etc.
The challenges with incentives is their cost in cash, stock or time, any one business, no matter how big and profitable, can only afford to invest so much in incentives. You have to weight up the cost of incentives against the potential marketing return you may receive and the life time value and profits from your customers.
There is also the challenge of bigger competitors coming on the scene offering more attractive and generous incentives than your company can afford and reducing your business potential. If you are a small company with a marketing budget to match, how can you afford to offer incentives that will be more attractive than your bigger competitors?
Associated Incentives
The good news is there is a very simple and extremely powerful referral marketing strategy that will provide your business with potentially thousands of pounds worth of high quality incentives FREE for you to use in your all of your marketing campaigns.
I call this strategy "Associated Incentives". I've personally used this strategy successfully three times myself in joint venture marketing and in brief it works like this;
You form an alliance or joint venture with other compatible companies who promote to the same markets.
Each company adds their own incentive(s) into an "Incentive Collection", which eventually mounts up in value. Assume the average value of each incentive is £100 and there are 10 companies in this "alliance", then the total value of incentives that all alliance partners can now offer is a massive total of £1,000.
This means you now can offer a very attractive incentive to gain that desired response from any of your promotional campaigns, which will also blow away any competitor and their offers, and all it has cost you is £100. You can use the £1,000 of incentives in all of your promotions i.e. website, mail-shots, direct sales etc.
The amazing result of this strategy is that you have also gained THREE big benefits i.e.
(1) You get a massive incentive value to increase your marketing success
(2) All partners in the alliance get FREE MARKETING when each member of the alliance promotes their business.
Let's assume that each of the ten alliance partners conducts a promotion to 1,000 customers or prospects, each company could then have their brand promoted FREE to 9,000 potential new buyers for zero commitment.
(3) You can even use your Associated Incentives for your own client's marketing as well. Imagine you are a marketing consultant, printer, graphic designer etc. and saying to your client "Oh by the way would you like to add another £1,000 worth of incentives to your mail-shot or advertising campaign FREE?", I'm sure your client would be not say no.
Two good example case studies of Associated Incentives" to look at are;
Launch of Book "And Death Came Third"
Andy Lopata and Peter Roper, both top marketing experts on business networking, recently successfully launched their most excellent best selling book on business networking called "And Death Came Third". Andy and Peter used several powerful endorsement strategies, plus they amassed a collection of associated incentives from various alliance companies' worth around a total of £2,000 to sell the then £15 book!!
One of their incentives came from me, which was a FREE marketing "Health Check" worth £495, available through the consultants of a marketing consultancy I was doing some work for at the time.
The result of this promotional campaign for Andy and Peter's book was that they sold an amazing 2,000 books worth £30,000 in a JUST 9 HOURS through Amazon. Not bad eh.
Oh and by the way I got 4 leads from this promotion, which I gave to my consultants, two of whom won a total of £45,000 in marketing contracts, very much a "Win - Win" I'd say.

Spectrum Business Alliance
Another example of how Associated Incentives can work is a recently launched project via a joint venture group of 24 companies called the Spectrum Business Alliance (of whom I am a founder member) see www.spectrumbusinessalliance.co.uk/iPoint/29.page and scroll down the page, click the links to see incentive details. This is self explanatory and I'll leave you to take in the details.
The total value of these incentives is now £30,000 and the main strategy is that these incentives are offered FREE to ANY qualifying UK company (includes you) and ONLY with the permission of the incentive provider.
You get a choice of high value FREE incentives to use in your marketing, the incentive provider gets free marketing and your customers and prospects get getter value, again a great "WIN - WIN" solution.
There are many ways you can use Associated Incentives for your own business and you are only limited by your own imagination. Associated Incentives can be used by most types of business markets i.e. trade, retail, marketing, professional, leisure, IT, Internet, manufacturing etc.
Associated Incentives can also be used by charities to gain donations from businesses for their causes i.e. companies making cash donations would have access to thousands of pounds worth of incentives in return, better than just getting goodwill.
It is very important you clearly state how the huge incentive value was achieved with several companies each contributing a small amount to the total value. If you do not make this clear, then your prospect will just not believe you and can you really blame them.
My advice to you is to keep it as simple as possible and think it out well. For big projects take on professional help (preferably from someone who has successfully done this strategy before) and conduct a small test pilot campaign.
If you do try this strategy and get it right, you will get incredible results and benefits in your marketing programmes and it is really the best solution to beat off the competition.
