Reduce Business Travel
Smart Ways to Reduce Business Travel 2nd April 2008

The increase in work-related travel within the Thames Valley has put significant pressure on the region's roads and rail services as well as on Heathrow Airport, where business travel accounts for 40% of journeys.

Many companies already operate green travel plans and flexible working, but should there be more emphasis from the government and companies on using the latest communications technology to drastically reduce business travel? What effect does it have on productivity and can companies still compete effectively in the global marketplace without travelling as much?

In this interactive session, we look at:

- The impact of increased business travel on the Thames Valley infrastructure

- How businesses - both large and small - are using the latest videoconferencing technology

- How Vodafone has adopted videoconferencing and the impact it has had on its business

Speakers:
- Nick Frengle, Head of Global Videoconferencing, Vodafone
- Ian Vickerage, Managing Director, Imago Micro
- Shaun Whittaker, CEO, Thames Valley Economic Partnership

Venue:
Polycom, 270 Bath Road
