New addition to the TVEP network takes a new approach to corpora
UNIGLOBE Travel is the latest company to join TVEP, the business network that helps to sustain the prosperity of the Thames Valley.
Many companies are reviewing their travel policies in the light of environmental awareness and cost efficiency. Uniglobe is one of the first corporate travel companies to address this proactively. “We see the changes in the approach to corporate travel as an opportunity for us” said Barry Baty, Managing Director of Uniglobe in Reading. “We are able to play a critical part in creating and enforcing our clients’ corporate travel policy, ensuring that flights are booked in the most cost effective way and in line with environmental preferences”
TVEP is responsible for helping over 100 overseas companies locate in the Thames Valley in the last three years. “In recent years we have seen many US-owned companies set up offices over here and now an increasing number from Australia and Asia” said Paul Britton, Investment Services Manager at TVEP. “As well as frequent flights to and from their global headquarters, these companies often run their entire European operations from right here in the Thames Valley so have employees travelling on a regular basis”
Barry Baty added, “Joining TVEP gives us the opportunity to share our unique approach to corporate travel with a wide range of companies and to discuss, at a strategic level, how best to adapt corporate travel policies to changes in cost and environmental objectives.
