News from the Thames Valley Economic Partnership
Thames Valley Economic Partnership The third annual innovation conference is now available to book online. The free one day event will be held in GreenPark, Reading on Tuesday 11 November. Further details available at www.theinnovationconfernce.net

This year’s conference boasts a stellar line up of key speakers including Dr Mike Short, VP research and development, O2 Group, Phil Smith, head of European technology and corporate marketing at Cisco Systems. All three innovation leaders will discuss ‘How Innovation drives business success,’ in the keynote session of the day.

Phil Smith of Cisco said "Innovation is one of the key challenges for all companies. The ability, generate, capture and fully capitalise on innovation is what differentiates great companies from the rest. The TVEP Innovation Conference provides an excellent opportunity for companies in the Thames Valley area to understand what the current landscape looks like for innovation, how they can capture best practice and use it to differentiate themselves. It is a real opportunity for the region to continue to lead in the future"

The conference is organised by the Thames Valley Economic Partnership, the organisation that is committed to developing the region’s dynamic economy. Chief Executive, Shaun Whittaker of TVEP said “We hope the Conference will help us realise our aim for the Thames Valley and its businesses to be seen as one of the most innovative and successful business hotspots in the world. We want the Conference to help innovators learn something new or make new contacts to make them more innovative and successful”.

Last year’s Thames Valley Innovation Conference in October attracted more than 500 delegates, drawn from innovative, technology and knowledge based companies across the South East.

One of last year’s attendees, Neil Fairbrother, CEO of Pod3TV, would strongly recommend the conference to innovative businesses. He said “Working in a small, innovative business is hard work and you put your life, soul and many hours into it. The conference is great as it makes you realise that you are not alone.”
Thanks to sponsorship from SEEDA, Cisco, NESTA, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Thames Water and the University of Reading, the conference and exhibition are free for business delegates to attend.
