What Can TVEP Offer?
Thames Valley Economic Partnership Thames Valley Economic Partnership support services to existitng businesses in the community and to prospective investors.


TVEP has six objectives in supporting the development of the Thames Valley:

  • Influencing transport infrastructure
  • Attracting new investment
  • Retaining investment, the provision of an Investor Care Service to encourage reinvestment by existing companies
  • Supporting innovation
  • Developing the talent pool
  • Enabling economic regeneration

    TVEP presents business issues facing the Thames Valley economy through business seminars and network events

    Working groups co-ordinate and take forward parts of the Thames Valley Economic Strategy, these are:



    • Inward Investment
    TVEP provides a comprehensive support service for companies looking to locate in the Thames Valley. We are here to help at every stage of the process, supplying key strategic and economic information, introducing potential strategic partners, organising visits to the region and identifying suitable business premises. We will also introduce members of our Regional Development Group who provide expert advice on accountancy, banking, legal, HR and property issues (effecting the Inward Investor).

    Business Support
    At TVEP, we are working with the Thames Valley business community to develop a networking culture. By establishing strong links across the public and private sectors, we are generating new opportunities for growth and commercial success.
    Through our Investor Development Programme, we offer business services to existing companies in identifying new markets and expanding within the region.

    Lobbying
    TVEP is able to support the interests and activities of those companies who do business in the Thames Valley and lobby regional and national government, in order to attract infrastructure funding to create a competitive and effective business environment.

    A free event for companies interested in finding new markets for their technologies and products. The meeting will provide insight of the key issues in achieiving this through a 'behind the scenes' look at Thales R&T activities in Reading.

    Who are TVEP
    Thames Valley Economic Partnership is a membership organisation committed to supporting the Thames Valley business community. We promote the region to an international audience, encouraging inward investment from across the world. We also support existing companies in identifying new markets and expanding within the region.

    TVEP is funded primarily by the business community who share an interest in the future of the Thames Valley economy. Our members include over 80 companies, government agencies and educational institutions. Major companies such as BAA Heathrow, BT, Cisco Systems and Microsoft are represented on the Board.
