Deadline for business awards |
Final countdown towards deadline for business awards
Thames Valley companies have less than two weeks left to enter the region’s most prestigious annual business awards. Each year, the Thames Valley Business Awards acknowledge the brightest, best and most successful companies and, with the closing date of September 30, the final countdown is on for entries to be completed. Awards chairman David Murray said: “We’ve already had an excellent number of entries – some from businesses who have previously won awards and others who are determined to make 2009 their year. “The fact that we have two new categories this year means the challenge is especially on to find the inaugural winners of these new trophies. This is a tremendous opportunity for organisations to gain the recognition they deserve and we’re looking forward to a fabulous event.” There are six categories to enter overall, and the two new awards are The Best Place to Work, sponsored by Vail Williams and The Thames Valley Export Award, sponsored by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) South East. All entries can be completed online at www.businessawards.co.uk. Presenting the awards, at a glittering black tie dinner at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading on November 19, will be former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lord Lamont, while the evening will be hosted by popular TV presenter Mark Curry.
