Thames Hospicecare is reliant on the local community to provide the generous support that is needed each and every day to continue to operate. 80% of the income needed must be raised through fundraising and retailing.

Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part of the work of the Hospice. Without them the hospice could not function. Whether it is providing transport for patients, a friendly smile on the reception desk, helping with daycare or inpatient services, assisting in our kitchens, gardening or giving time to clerical or administrative work, the hospice relies on volunteers.
In the local community there are opportunities to help in one of our High Street shops to assist at fundraising functions and community events or to represent the hospice in a number of other ways All volunteers receive regular training to support their valuable contribution to the work of the Hospice and receive a great deal of satisfaction being associated with an organisation providing such a valuable service.
