Thames Hospicecare is a local charity serving the local community for the past 20 years, providing the best possible care to local famiies affected by cancer and other life limitinig illness. We have to raise for 75p in every £1 we spend on patient care. We get some government but we fundraise for most of our money. This year we have to raise a whopping £4m but with the help of local organisations, companies and people who believe in the vital work of the their local Hospice we hope we will make it. Fundraising events, like the THc Sunrise Walk, the Windsor Half marathon and Ladies 8k are a vital source of income to the Hospice too. Their are many other events in the calendar, London to Paris cycle rides, overseas treks, Fetes and Fayres ... the list is endless - give us a call on 08456 128812 or visit our website www.thameshospicecare.org.uk for more info. We have a host of activities for people to join in or better still, could you run an event to raise funds for us? Large or small, every penny counts. To find out more, click on the event to go to the relevant page. 21 September Ladies 8k - Windsor If you have booked your place in this fantastic event and are looking to run for a fantastic charity then look no further! Thames Hospicecare has a great running programme in place and our Team THc keeps getting bigger each year. Come and join us, we will encourage you all the way with your training and fundraising. On the day we will be there to welcome you and your friends to our hospitality tent, cheer you around the route and we will be there to welcome you back too. Your free running vest, medals and light refreshments are all part of the package. And, if you raise over £150 we will give you a THc fleece too. Join our first 13 mile or 6.5 marathon distance walks for Thames Hospicecare and help raise much needed funds for your local Hospice.
