Communications network Airwave 'rebranded'
The mobile communications network Airwave has been rebranded after receiving help from the brand consultancy The Partners, it has been announced.
It is hoped that the new identity will enable the company to stand out from its previous incarnation as an O2 brand.
Earlier this year, Macquarie purchased the network from Telefonica - the company that looks after O2 - in a deal worth about £1.9 billion.
The new design is set to feature a mixture of black and grey dots, creating a kind of net effect, with the intention of displaying the ubiquity of the products. It will be used on a number of internal communications channels such as posters and banners.
Creative director at The Partners Nick Clark said that this is a large task.
"What's interesting about this project is that it's quite emotional and has big purpose for a business-to-business service. We were motivated by its lifesaving service," he told Design Week.
The buisness-to-buisness network is used by the police, among others.
