Wireless innovation of interest to firms
A new wireless application of interest to businesses, which is designed to cut costs and streamline the overall running process, is on the way.
The Wi-Fi Alliance is set begin a testing programme for the 802.11n technology with one eye on maximising the overall wireless experience.
Makers of the new device claim that it will have double the range of older Wi-Fi equipment, plus a throughput of five times that of previous tools.
Businesses taking up the fresh technology will be pleased to learn that it could intensify the vigorous nature of a firm and may be able to levy the capacity of networks upwards.
Vice president and analyst at Gartner research firm Ken Dulaney said that the format will provide a reliable running opportunity.
"Prospective buyers should understand that the Wi-Fi Alliance will provide future certification for the eventual 802.11n final specification and assess their own timeframe for a movement to 802.11n," he said.
To aid the installation process, the new equipment will be compatible with older forms of Wi-Fi technology.
A recent study by the American Customer Satisfaction Index found that wireless is still showing signs of growth in the US.
