Berkshire IT firm celebrates Nordic expansion
The web management solutions firm Mediasurface is to expand by opening a new office in the Nordic region.
In the past year the company, which is based in Newbury, has seen growth of 42 per cent and a review by the Scandinavian management firm BNP Consulting which resulted in a usability award.
It was based on their continued use of highly compatible business equipment such as Ajax technology.
Mediasurface's new office will be run by Christer Alkesten, who has previous experience of similar industries within the Stockholm region, particularly in the IT field.
Mr Alkesten was a vice president of marketing and sales for the IT consultancy firm ABB Business Solutions.
Chief executive of Mediasurface Lawrence Flynn stated that expansion into the Nordic will allow the company to offer a wider range of customer service and develop further as a business.
"The Nordic region is of great importance to Mediasurface. The opening of a dedicated Stockholm office will help us strengthen the relationship with our current Nordic customers and will serve as a steppingstone into Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland," he said.
Mediasurface specialises in web content management software and works though subsidiaries across the continent.
