Duo combine in innovation drive
Serco and Ealing Council have come together and signed a £30 million, ten-year contract in a bid to boost innovation and build on service.
The new partnership will be used to form an IT service that will target performance management and focus on the strong delivery of services.
Business cases will also be developed for an array of initiatives to increase the effectiveness of business. Serco will also invest by offering further rewards for ideas.
Director of ICT and facilities at Ealing Council Anthony Kemp said that the deal was best for the future of services in the area.
"It offered us a contract which delivers excellent value and moves the ICT service to be more flexible through standardisation and centralised management," he stated.
Serco was also chosen because of its track record in digital challenges and apprenticeship programmes.
Ealing Council deals with a wide range of residential problems and services including refuse and recycling.
