Social Media DNA : Making Social Part of Your DNA |
The Social Media DNA event, Making Social Part of Your DNA is being held at The Arts Centre, WC2H 7JB on Thursday 16th February 2012.BOOK YOUR SEAT FOR SOCIAL MEDIA DNA... Our friends over at NRG Networks have been involved in its creation as part of this year's Social Media Week. We registered our own event on the Social Media Week website a week or so ago. Reviewing our Google stats for February, the site is 5th in the referral stakes, folk sticking around an average of 5x longer than those that pop by from Twitter... attention span of a gnat those folks averaging 3 seconds each! Google search brings the most unique visitors to our site with the most attentive visitors coming in from our www.socialmediaevents.co.uk website, hanging out for over 3 minutes each and visiting 2.9 pages with a favourable 40% bounce rate... marvellous ;) Reviewing the podcasts for the Social Media DNA event and Su Butcher talks of ensuring you are found easily when people actually want what you’ve got... top Google search string finding our Social Media Directors website in February was social media directors... SNAP... what's our prize Su ;) Visitors you fool! Funny seeing “Fenton the dog social media” featuring as a search string, Ann Hawkins talks in her podcast of being old and frustrated with young people who don’t get the web... in my experience they just need a little nudge in the right direction, where old dogs struggle to change their trajectory. There is an impressive array of speakers with the big brands featuring as they always do... if I hear from Dell how they generated a few million from Twitter I’ll be very disappointed... new story please Kerry... We do have a tendency to think that the BIG brands know best... in my opinion it’s easy to waste a bunch of cash when your BIG before you find a single example of social media engagement that you can call a successful deployment... small business don’t have that luxury, they have to get it right pretty damn quick... Was impressed by JP’s video... not sure he used the same word twice and he certainly got my interest... Why not go watch his video and add a comment... you never know, someone might click on your thread to find out more about you... also adds a link to your world giving it more SEO power... max the potential for people to find out who you are and how you could be of service to the reader... then again, you could just watch the video and save 10 seconds of your life by not adding your own magic ;) SEE YOU AT SOCIAL MEDIA DNA I’m sure Bernie and his team have got it polished... looking forward to hearing from these folk and networking with the 200 or so who’ll be in the room... well 10 or 11, more than that will make my head hurt ;) Chairman: Martin Thomas, author of Crowd Surfing and Loose @crowdsurfing Keynote: JP Rangaswami, Chief Scientist, Salesforce.com @jobsworth Fergus Boyd, Strategy Manager, eBusiness, Virgin Atlantic Airways @flboyd Emma Roffey, Communications & Digital Marketing Director, Cisco @eroffey Kerry Bridge, Social Media Manager, Global MB, Dell @kerryatdell Jake Steadman, Head of Social Media Insight, Business Intelligence, O2 @jakesteadman Andrew Walker, Co-Founder, Tweetminster @tweetminster Neil Kleiner, Head of Social Media, Havas Media @nkleiner Gianni Catalfamo, European Director, Digital & Social Media, KetchumPleon @giannicatalfamo Nadya Powell, Director of Social & Emerging Behaviour, Dare Neville Hobson, For Immediate Release @jangles David Gauld, Partner Manager, FreeAgent @DavidGauld Francesco D’Orazio, Research Director and Head of Social Media, Face @abc3d Robert Wint, Head of Digital Marketing, Barclays Bank plc Thank you... see you at Social Media DNA...
