About Malcolm Wicks
Malcolm founded his consulting business in 2001 with the specific purpose of helping organisations create and implement their business and marketing strategies in a joined up customer centric way. Working with clients like Tesco and HP as well as smaller companies helped him develop an effective tool set to create simple plans based on what customers really care about. His own corporate experiences from the other side of the fence helped too.
While collecting information for SimplePlans projects he looks across your business from the perspective of your customers asking questions like “how would this help a customer?” Customer surveys and workshops also help steer and monitor most plans. The focus on "customer" and the ability to think like a customers is what makes the SimplePlans approach so effective. Prior to forming his consulting business Malcolm was Director of Enterprise Marketing EMEA for Compaq responsible for pulling together all marketing activities. He has also been responsible for CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Partner Management as well as developing large teams and Business Units. In addition to his current Thames Valley location he's also lived in the USA and Switzerland. One of Malcolm’s unusual claims to fame is that he had one of the first email accounts in Europe 28 years ago! Malcolm is vice chairman of the Institute of Directors Berkshire and a non-executive director of ATG Training who provide engineering apprenticeships and other vocational training to 16-24 year olds. Its been rumoured that he's also very keen on real ale pubs. Malcolm Wicks Director, SimplePlans 0118 989 1107 |
