Dwarf Mongoose
'Lookout', a bronze wildlife sculpture of a Dwarf Mongoose, is a table top sculpture, done in bronze-resin.
The Dwarf Mongoose is the smallest of all the Mongoose family. Most often they are found together in small groups of 10 to 20 scuttling busily around termite hills or, as here, in and about rocks. They are diurnal, playful, not in the least timid and a delight to watch and listen to as they chat in musical birdlike chirrups and crooning notes. This is one of the smallest of Sally's works and can be used as a paper weight or bookend or simply as a delightful conversation piece on the coffee table. Beautifully rendered, he is a most attractive subject and ideal for that special, thoughtful gift. That he will be treasured, is certain. |
