Companies 'should market green credentials'
Companies have been advised by a marketing expert to take heed of a new trend and focus on eco-marketing.
Corporate America is seeing that it is not only consumers who are becoming concerned with green issues but employees also, which could indicate that businesses need to market their company as environmentally responsible to potential staff.
Melissa Hickman of Hickman and Associates, a US marketing and communications firm, has told delawareonline that becoming environmentally friendly is a continuing improvement process.
"You can't just check this off of your list at the end of the day. You have to look for new things you can do all the time," she claimed.
According to figures from Sun Microsystems, three-quarters of staff in the US want the business they work for to be environmentally responsible.
This news follows recently reported green digital marketing growth. A number of eco-marketing enterprises have emerged in 2007 to deal with the need for green marketing online.
