In November, Google expanded its mobile ads beta test, where adverts appear above and below Google searches on mobile devices. The beta originally covered the UK, US, Japan, and Germany. France, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, China, Ireland, India, and Australia were subsequently added.
The company has also been developing web video advertising, applying their success in the search engine arena to other methods of marketing. There are also plans for selling offline advertising in traditional media such as newspapers and radio.
