Royal Wedding Quiz

In the week leading up to the Royal Wedding, discover whether you’re a Diana Fan or a Progressive Royalist with our light-hearted quiz.

1)What will you be doing on Friday, April 8th?
a)Dusting off my Diana tea set and sitting down in front of the video - Ah, the dress! The train! That’s how a royal wedding should look.
b)I shall collect a copy of all the daily papers and look forward to watching the televised service
c)I’ll mark the occasion but I don’t want to watch the service itself, it still doesn’t sit right with me.
d)I’ve got a manager’s meeting at 9am, so hopefully I’ll be in the Frog and Pilchard by 12 for a long lunch with the guys from the office.

2)Are you making space for C&C memorabilia on your shelves?
a)I’m bidding on a Diana banner on ebay and might pop down to Windsor to wave it around a bit.
b)I think it’s only right to replace the Diana stuff with C&C commemorative ware, but where can I find any?
c)I’d buy something from Royal Doulton out of a sense of duty, but I wouldn’t use it when guests come round.
d)Only if someone brings out a chocolate teapot.

3)Where do you think C&C should go on honeymoon?
a)I don’t care so long as it’s out of my sight.
b)I think they should be allowed to go to Balmoral and have a traditional Royal honeymoon
c)Once it’s done, it’s done, and I think they should go to one of Charles’s smaller estates
d)The wife and I went to Mauritius and that was very nice. Bit pricey around Easter, though.

4)What do you think Camilla should wear on her wedding day?
a)Well it hardly matters, there’s no way she’ll look as ethereally beautiful as Diana did.
b)I think she should wear something traditional to reflect the heritage of the family she’s marrying in to.
c)Not something white, that’s for sure.
d)Maybe a nice suit?

5)What should the happy couple and guests eat on the big day?
a)A platter of finest foodstuffs from Harrods foodhall
b)A sit-down, organic wedding breakfast made entirely of foods from Charles’s farms.
c) Pomegranates, slow-cooked game and suckling pig.
d)Whatever it is, send me some – I’m paying for it after all.

If you answered:

Mainly As –
Diana Devotee.
You’ve never got over the tragic, suspicious death of Diana and think she should be Queen – after all, she was glamorous, beautiful and Queen of our hearts. As she’s no longer with us to fill the role, Wills should step in to the role of King – he is her rightful heir.

Mainly Bs –
Progressive Royalist.
You feel that we’ve moved on from the days of Edward and Mrs. Simpson, and that the monarchy should reflect society. Reconstituted, blended families are the norm nowadays and our country’s royalty should show that.

Mostly Cs –
Die-Hard Royalist.
Your opinion is that of course Charles should be allowed to remarry, it’s been a long time now and those boys need a mother figure. But you feel that Camilla should never be allowed to be Queen and the wedding ceremony should be suitably understated to reflect the situation.

Mostly Ds –
Indifferent.
When is the wedding, again? You think it’s nice to see two people in love getting married but, beyond that, you don’t really care. By the way, you still want to know if the 8th will be a public holiday.
