Queen Goes To Town On Royal Wedding Preparations

We can exclusively reveal the very latest news from Buckingham Palace today – exactly 7 days before the Royal Wedding on April 8th.

In a surprise move, Queen Elizabeth II has made public plans to relocate the wedding ceremony to the lavish Throne Room in her central London residence as a gesture of goodwill to the happy couple. “One wanted to give Charles and Camilla something for the big day, and Elton (John) insisted on sorting the flowers out”, she said in a press conference earlier today. “So I thought the best thing one could do would be to open one’s home to them as a special gift.”

Palace plans reveal that not only will Charles and Camilla have full use of the Piano Nobile of Buckingham Palace for their celebrations on the 8th, but that the Queen has also ordered Pall Mall, Birdcage Walk and St James’s Park to be closed for the day. An extravagant parade, involving many of the groups who make up the colourful Notting Hill Carnival celebrations, will mark the route that the couple will then walk down once the wedding ceremony has been performed. Prince Charles’s favourite band, The Spice Girls (who famously pinched the Prince on the derriere in May 1997), are set to reform for one day only and will perform their own version of Shirley Bassey’s hit “Second Time Around”.

Tickets to view the wedding parade and celebrations can be bought from today at www.april-fools-day-hoax.co.uk
