Queen Commissions Welsh Granny to Bake Royal Wedding Cake
We hear that the Queen has commissioned a 74-year old granny from West Wales to bake the cake for the Royal Wedding next month! What’s wrong with cakes baked by Berkshire grannies, we want to know?

Charles reportedly tasted Etta Richardson’s fruitcake on a trip to Llansteffan last summer where she was displaying her wares on a small stall in her hometown. He asked for more weeks later, declaring it “the nicest cake he had ever tasted”.

The cakes, made to Mrs Richardson’s mother’s recipe, usually sell for £3.99 each when she sells them through her son’s market stall. She’s been asked to make 20 for the Royal Wedding.

We reckon she can probably put her prices up now!

What would you bake for the Royal Wedding? Do you think the Queen is right to get the wedding cake from a baker in Wales? We want to hear your regal recipes and monarchal mixtures…
