Pictures of Charles and Camilla's Wedding 9th April 2005

The day, for me, started with a walk with Max, the dog. I was thinking how Charles and Camilla were probably out riding, enjoying the morning sun. And how in a few hours Charles and Camilla's wedding pictures would be being viewed by the world.

Not wishing to miss the atmosphere I went up around 9:30 and noticed Police motorcyles at the end of the Long Walk

I then got a call from home telling me I needed my passport as proof of identity to enter the castle grounds! An hour later I continued up the Long Walk to Windsor Castle.

As I neared the castle I bumped into a couple of journalists from the Windsor Observer. They told me that up by the Guildhall the streets were crammed full of people.

I took up a great position just outside the castle gates leading to the Long Walk.

After Charles and Camilla had driven by we went off to the Tourist Information centre to collect our passes.

We got stuck at one point and simply had to wait for the happy couple. It was very crowded. One tip. When in a crowd ensure your children are on your shoulders, they could so easily be crushed. It amazed me the stupidity of some people!

As we continued our journey to the castle our passage was made easier by a streaker making a very short run for it!

Had to add this picture... "Eye, eye... whats your game!"

The Royal Standard was flying high. Two or three times the normal size, it was displayed regally for the world to see by a nice northerly breeze!

A number of buildings were being used by the worlds media. Threshers Wine building had obviously maximised the opportunity. TV crews on the roof and a look-a-like agency in the middle!

A small cheer for Michael Howard. Nothing for Charles Kennedy. And a few boos for Tony as they entered St George's Chapel.

Army officers politely standing back, allowing the 2000 inside the castle to get the best view.

There was a huge screen so those inside the castle grounds could view the service.

The Queen left first. Driving slowly and smiling for the world to see.

There's now a new Royal Duchess...

Princess Anne gave a great big smile for us to all to photograph.

The moment we'd all be waiting for. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The smiles say it all. And the way she came and spoke to people was natural, real, down to earth. It was like an old friend had come over to say hi. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

My forecast: Camilla's love for Charles is going to make it possible for him to shine. She will be loved by all who meet her and will bring the people back to the Royal family.

It's just a shame that Hyacinth couldn't be there!!

A wonderful day was had by all. Thank you your Majesty.
