Charles and Camilla - Room With A View

Only a week after it was listed on eBay for 1p, a room with a balcony overlooking the venue for the Royal Wedding on Friday has been snapped up for £800. With only a limited number of exclusively invited guests able to witness the ceremony, places from which to view the royal couple on the 8th are at a premium. The identity of the balcony buyer has been kept secret, but here’s what he or she got for their money.

"The package includes a private room that can accommodate up to 20 people. The balconies provide excellent views to The Guildhall where the royal couple will be married," according to eBay.

"You can bring your own catering (but) you and all guests are potentially subject to police checks," it said, recommending: "To enhance your viewing experience, we advise that you may want to bring binoculars."
