Rotary Youth Speaks Competition Windsor heat winners

On Tuesday 22nd November 2011 the Windsor heat of Youth Speaks organised by the Rotary Club of Windsor & Eton and held at St Edward’s Royal Free Middle School.
The Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Asghar Majeed, was in attendance along with David Wheeler, President of Windsor & Eton Rotary Club.
The judges for the Intermediate competition David Knowles-Leak and Dan Eastman were chaired by Mary Stock and for the Senior competition, chair Reverend Louise Brown was joined by Sally Eaton and Neil Laver.
Seven Intermediate teams took part (middle school age) and three Senior teams (high school). Over 100 students, parents, teachers, judges, VIPs and fellow Rotarians enjoyed a host of excellent presentations…

The winners were a repeat of last year with Brigidine winning the Senior Competition and St Edward’s Royal Free Middle School taking the Intermediate trophy.
Shortly I will be delivering the engraved trophies to the schools with news of the next round, the Zone Final, at Dedworth Middle School on the 7th February 2012.
