See Ride the Wave in Action
Ride the Wave activities are event based and noisy, fun, engaging places to be. Trying to convince someone that our approach works can be difficult unless they see it in action it – then you can appreciate the student experience and the speed and depth of their learning.
Here are some ways that you can see for yourself what goes on and appreciate why it would be good for your students:
- Run a pilot event. We have put together a pilot event that illustrates some of the key elements of Ride the Wave. It encompasses a 4-5 hour programme of activity for 60 Level 1, 2 or 3 students, run in college and including all of the activities that make the student experience so engaging and worthwhile. The cost is just £1750 plus VAT. To keep the cost of the pilot low, this event is not designed for the collection of portfolios or employer engagement, but this doesn’t detract from the opportunity to observe and assess the student learning experience delivered by Working Knowledge and how it could fit into your plans for next year.
- Attend an event at a college near you. Some Colleges are more than happy to invite staff from other colleges to attend their programme and see it in action. See the students at work, attend meetings between students and businesspeople and experience the dragon’s den presentations.
- Let us present to your team. OK, so this isn’t seeing it for yourself, but our 10 minute video of a programme in action followed by a question and answer session is a great way of exploring whether Ride the Wave would be good for you.
