Dive in to the Ride The Wave programme

Ride The Wave is a comprehensive and engaging programme of activities and events, supporting the development of key skills and wider key skills portfolios rapidly and effectively. It provides wide ranging learning opportunities and develops employability skills for students studying at all levels.

Who delivers it?
The Working Knowledge Group as external delivery partner.

Who is it for?
There is a programme to suit all FE students, at any level:

Dive in – built around a 0.5 day programme
Make a Splash – built around a 1 day programme
The Plunge – built around a 3 day programme

Programmes have been delivered and qualifications achieved with NEETS, level 1, 2 and 3 students.

Following another successful delivery to Redcar and Cleveland College students we're pleased to be able to show you some of the highlights from the event.

Dive In - Half-day event
Students take part in a half-day event planning activity culminating in presenting their ideas to a staff or a local business person.

Make a Splash - 1-day event
Students take part in a challenging 1 day business planning event culminating in meetings with and presentations to a group of local business 'experts'. 'Make A Splash' can be used to create portfolios for a number of Key Skills; for instance, Communications or Working with Others or a combination of the two.

The Plunge - 3-day event
Students take part in a challenging 3 day business planning event culminating in meetings with and presentations to a group of local business 'experts'. The Plunge can be used to create portfolios for a number of Key Skills. For instance Communications or Working with Others or a combination of the two.

NEET - Not in Education, Employment or Training
Ride the Wave provides a tailored framework for working with NEETs. A framework that is fun, engaging and challenging.
