Hart Neighbourhood Centre runs Confidence Workshop for young adu
Hart Development Centre are running a pilot project called "The Get With it Project" which has been set up to get youngsters off the street and to do something interesting over the summer holidays. In particular, it is aimed at combating antisocial behaviour in a positive way by providing activities such as sports tournaments, ceramic painting, health and beauty and team building games
Confidence and motivation were the topics for the one day workshop, run by Relish People, and the activities included creating a vision board of everything they wanted to have, be and do; and a panel exercise made up by members of the group to answer any questions that were bothering them.
Cheryl, Development Manager with the Hart Neighbourhood Centre, said “I was so impressed with the brilliant work that Relish People did, and how they managed to keep the whole group engaged. In particular, the panel exercise raised some really good questions from the youngsters.”
Wendy, Director at Relish People says “the day was great fun, primarily as the youngsters really became involved in the different activities, which made our work seem really worthwhile.”
