Being driven to distraction by noisy, rude and untidy workers
The little things causing big concerns for the UK workforce
Forget long working hours and giant workloads, it’s your colleagues that are driving the average employee to search for a new job.
Over half of us the work force admits that unruly co-workers are forcing them to consider a new career path.
According to a recent report published by fish4jobs.co.uk, 84% of UK employees confess to being driven to distraction by noisy, rude and untidy workers. The report exposed that it’s the little things in the workplace that are becoming a big concern for UK bosses.
However, it isn’t the trivial issues that are sending workers running for the door, but larger issues that are made worse by a co-worker’s irritating behaviour.
In order to aid workers in the UK to cope with their colleagues fish4jobs has created a check list of helpful tips to make the working day less stressful:
1. Be honest
2. If a co-worker’s pen clicking is driving you to distraction tell them; they probably not even aware they are doing it
3. Talk to the management
4. If you feel you can’t confront your colleague about an issue, talk to their manager; they should be sympathetic to your complaint and be able to remedy the problem
5. Behave like you want others to behave
6. Look at how you behave in the office to ensure you are not guilty of committing any of the annoyances that you complain about your colleagues doing
