The Man Behind the Title - Abdul Morad
Abdul holds an Applied Chemistry Degree from the renowned University of Damascus and worked in the scientific research Electronics division from 1981 – 1989.
Involvement with a UK company during this research, lead him to move to Britain in 1989 and join Gemini Circuits. He then became Gemini’s Technical Director in 1999.
Abdul has a wealth of experience working with many different substrates (FR4, PTFE, ARLON, HITG GML etc) ideal for today’s rapidly evolving technology.
Abdul prides himself on his ability to be the link between design & manufacturing; improving and increasing the manufacturability of the most demanding designs.
“PCB’s used to be PCB’s – now they are complex components.” he says, “Designers need to be aware of the true manufacturability of boards. I have always believed in working alongside designers and engineers to ensure that their designs can be replicated in a production environment”.
“This philosophy also helps us (the PCB manufacturer) stay one step ahead of current designs, therefore, enabling us to keep pushing the technological boundaries”.
Quick Circuits have never believed in standing still. With continuous improvement systems already deployed, Abdul will be focusing initially on the current projects under way at Quick Circuits, with the emphasis on driving technology forward with higher layer counts and tighter track and gaps. Improving product quality leading to yield improvements, will enable us to keep pushing the boundaries of standard lead times.
Abduls’ experience with exotic materials will allow Quick Circuits to offer a much wider variety of substrates needed in today’s market on a faster turnaround at even more competitive prices.
A family man with four children aged 20, 18, 15 and 12, Abdul enjoys playing tennis and reading in his spare time..
Quick Circuits is delighted to welcome Abdul to the team and looks forward with him to meeting the challenges the future holds.
