Celebrating 25 Years …………
In 2008 Pursuit NHA celebrates its 25th Anniversary. NHA was created initially by Nick Heptonstall as a training business in 1983 and became Pursuit NHA as a result of a management buyout in 2000.
For a quarter of a century we have been working with sales and management teams, seeking to develop business processes and personal skills which result in increased profitable sales. There have been many adventures…..riding with salesmen and armed guards in South America while selling and delivering cigarettes for British American Tobacco,…..trekking and camping with the Activision Management Team in the hills of Morocco and learning and practicing situation leadership skills…. Teambuilding with a group of HSBC Directors on the ski slopes in the Portes du Soleil… to name but a few.
We have had the privilege of working with over 300 blue chip clients. In fact our first client SC Johnson Professional is still a client today, although like us they have changed their name. Paul Budsworth, Sales Director of Johnson Diversey says, “It’s fantastic that we’ve been working with Pursuit NHA for 25 years. During this period they have made a significant impact on our business, most recently in creating and delivering a series of Development Centres for the entire sales team. We really have been impressed by the quality of the work and outcome of the process”.
From Pursuit NHA’s perspective it’s been great to work with so many talented people. Many junior managers who went through the MSDP (Management Skills Development Programme) in the 80's and 90's are in senior management positions of large companies today. There are at least a score of former delegates who are now millionaires.
One exciting change, amongst many, that we have seen in recent years is the Global or European approach taken to training. In 2007 we worked in 17 Countries.
During 2008 we are holding a series of celebratory events. The first event was a charity auction and lunch for the NSPCC at which over £5000 was raised, thanks to the generosity of our clients in donating and bidding for prizes. We have also celebrated with our clients in the ski resort of Morzine-Avoriaz near Lake Geneva. Our next event is a sponsored bike ride.
