The 2008 Big Kids Bike Ride

If you spot any stray cyclists in Pursuit NHA colours over the next few months, chances are it is one of the team in training for the Big Kids Bike Ride…
As part of our 25th birthday celebrations, Pursuit NHA has foolishly agreed to take part in the 2008 Big Kids Bike Ride from John O’Groats to Lands End and BACK!! It is not quite as bad as it first seems as the Pursuit team of 16 riders will complete one 80 mile section of the journey from Lancaster to Whitchurch (Shropshire).
The challenge of completing the 80 miles combined with smashing our team target of £5,000 is proving to be a great incentive to all involved….that and the promise of cold drinks and celebratory dinner at the end of the ride!!
The overall goal of the event is to raise a minimum of £100,000 in one day for the children’s charity, ‘The Toy Trust’. All monies raised by the16 participating teams will go towards supporting the many projects for disadvantaged and disabled children that the Toy Trust supports each year.
The team are now digging out their cycle shorts, removing stabilisers from bikes and getting their training regime underway!
