Major commercial property venture earmarked
A new mixed-use scheme is being proposed by the developer Chord and Deeley Properties in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham.
Massive regeneration is expected to take place if the project goes ahead, as is a shake up of the commercial property sector.
It is set to incorporate 93,500 sq ft of office space, 24,470 sq ft of retail, 720 living properties and span a 6.8 acre site.
A new gateway will be created at the entrance to the Jewellery Quarter when it is completed.
Chord Deeley's Chris Rosier said that the developments will not stop at this latest announcement.
"We are already in detailed negotiations with a hotelier for the two hotels and hope to make another announcement soon," he stated.
Chord already has more than £75 million invested in the area and is based in the city of Birmingham.
Under its Chord Homes arm, the developer says that it attempts to offer affordable properties to the public.
