Top overseas investments for summer '07 named
The top overseas investment hotspots for summer 2007 will be Morocco, Dubai, Cyprus, Budapest and the Caribbean, property analysts at Rightmove Overseas have said.
The locations were picked on their potential for house price and rental growth and their current value.
Head of the list is Morocco, with UK flight bookings to the country up 295 per cent in 2006 compared to the year before and fares still dropping.
Average prices range between £100,000 and £125,000 although can go as low as £50,000 and as high as several million for well-appointed luxury homes.
Dubai is continuing to grow rapidly, while Cyprus' lush climate, low cost of living and high numbers of English speakers are rapidly attracting investors and expats.
"A buy-to-let investment in Cyprus is still a great venture," said Justin Figgins of Rightmove Overseas.
"With tourism booming and the reputation Cyprus has for attracting repeat and loyal visitors, rental demand continues to outstrip supply."
