AAT is a recognised examination board (the Association of Accounting Technicians) and our client’s objective was to find those looking to attend revision courses just prior to the exams. This project is the first part of a trilogy of micro sites for Corridan Financials. The site was launched on the 23rd April 2008 and had been indexed before the end of the month and 71 visitors had reviewed 205 pages. In May there were 606 visitors to 1149 pages and a total of 35 search strings were used to find the site. 68 used aat course, 21 aat courses and 3 aat revision. The site was no 1 on all major search engines for aat courses, hence the level of response. With minimal activity during the year due to the clients commitments, in January 2009 the site had 1097 visitors to 2315 pages, 69 unique referrers (Google leading the way with Yahoo and LIVE bringing visitors to the site). 56 search strings were used with 65 plugging in aat courses. Just think of the potential results the site could have had with more content focussed around key AAT course components? The client is happy, the phone rings and students book to attend local courses. Obviously many who find the site live outside the area. The client is extremely pleased with this initial toe in the water and is formulating plans for long term use of multiple micro sites for herself and her clients.
