Premiership Hospitality 2008-09 season
2008-09 season has just kicked off and it saw Charlie and I visiting Old Trafford to see Manchester United v Newcastle United. What an excellent game. Newcastle had the run of it but it felt like they were playing a more defensive than attacking game but hey, this was Old Trafford, the home of England’s consistent champions, you’d hardly go all out with the expectations of an easy ride to victory!
It was great to see Newcastle doing their thing and Martins landing the first goal. It made me grin, although I couldn’t shout as we were in the Man U end and you don’t want to show your colours in their pen!
All Charlie wanted, being a Chelsea fan, was to see Ronaldo. He was injured but as luck would have it, as we toured the ground with our host, visiting the players' car park and on towards the shrine for the ‘58 boys, the crowd was halted by security and who should walk through but the big man himself. Excellent, Charlie had a wish and it was realised!
Martins’ goal set us up for a great start to the season. We’ve followed that with wins at Bolton & Coventry and then Arsenal got in the way yesterday but hey, it’s never going to be plain sailing!
It’s now time to get Premiership Hospitality under way. Our goal is to get Charlie and I invited to a bunch of games this year to see either Chelsea or Newcastle play their league opponents. In return we will help those clubs that approach us to promote their latest offering to this site’s readers.
Our business is Internet marketing and so it makes sense to use our skills to reach out and make this offer to premiership clubs looking to offer hospitality to visiting fans.
We’ll also use the space to promote local teams. From the U9’s New Windsor Eagles that Charlie plays for, to Maidenhead United who have had an excellent start to the season. (probably down to the Newcastle kit they wear! ) Then we have Reading FC, who are revisiting the Championship for this season, undoubtedly back in the Premiership next.
So, if you are involved with Premiership hospitality and would like us to help drive fans in your direction, or you’re involved with a local football club in Berkshire, then connect and we can work out a way we can help each other.
