Make the FA Cup Final 2008 a day to remember
The Reading Football Club Ex-Players Association and The Holiday Inn Reading South have got together to make sure this year’s FA Cup Final is one to remember – regardless of who plays and who wins!
On 17th May, they’ll be hosting an FA Cup Final Match of the Day Live.
The game will be broadcast live on 4 large screens at the hotel and will be presented and hosted by a panel of expert match analysers. Celebrity footballers Lawrie Sanchez (A winner with Wimbledon in 1988) and Neil Webb (former England star and an FA Cup winner with Manchester United in 1990) will be joining all those at the hotel to introduce and review the game, and give their views on the play, ball by ball.
Tickets cost £30 each or £250 for a table of 10. So it pays to get a group of colleagues and friends together for the day.
The ticket price also includes a good, hearty, sausage and mash lunch and the chance to bid on some fabulous prizes which include:
- a Chelsea shirt signed by the current 1st team squad members including Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba. The shirt has been kindly donated by Brendan Rodgers, the Reserve team manager at Stamford Bridge and former Reading FC player. The shirt (unframed) comes with a certificate of authenticity.
- 2 x VIP tickets to the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone on 31st August 2008. The package includes: pit and paddock hospitality, exclusive garage tour and chance to meet the racing team. Kindly donated by the Holiday Inn Reading South. Two of the SEAT/Holiday Inn racing cars will be outside the hotel on match day.
All proceeds will be shared between the Reading FC Ex-Players Association and the Professional Footballers Association’s charity of choice: Everyman research into male cancer.
The bar opens at 12 noon, lunch will be served and 12.30 and kick off is at 3pm. Kick out time, well, that’s up to you!
