Christmas Appeal for Parkinsons' Disease Society |
The Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead and District Branch of the Parkinson’ Disease Society would like to take this opportunity to share this humorous scene from its fundraising activities and thank you in anticipation of any support you, your company, or your organization can give us in the coming year. Parkinson’s Disease is a debilitating condition affecting about 1 in 500 adults. Great advances have been made in treatment in the last two decades but the cause is generally still unknown, it is not preventable and, as yet, incurable. The local Branch (run by volunteers) aims to keep contact with and help sufferers in Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Marlow and surrounding areas . We also seek funds to contribute to national research projects for improving therapy, finding a cure, and preventative solutions. Of course you are inundated with charitable requests at this time of year but if you can help, without me having to sit on my mobility buggy outside M & S, it will be very much appreciated. To make a donation to your local branch please call Peter James on 01628 487741 or pmjhuxley@hotmail.com. If you prefer to make a donation to the National Headquarters please Phone 020 7932 1303 |
