Wilson Works As Tesco Cashier

Tesco's management have agreed to Rob working a shift at the Reading Napier Road store on Monday 13th November 2006 and have lined up a programme of work, including shelf stacking and manning a checkout. Rob Wilson commented: "It is often a criticism of MPs that they are locked away in the Westminster Village out of touch with the everyday lives of their constituents. As a local resident myself I want to be involved in the daily lives of my constituents, that's why I have a programme planned for the next six months including working as a dustman, a PCSO, a postman and a 'dinner lady'!" "I will be working with organisations, both public and private, to get a rounded view of the many different jobs on which the local community depends." |
