In news that could be of interest to directors, Apple has announced the introduction of the web browser Safari.
According to the company, the product is the quickest running on Windows, based on iBench tests and put in comparison to other tools such as Firefox 2.
The device includes a number of facilities including bookmarks, tabs and an RSS reader enabling uses to locate the latest news in a short space of time, the company claims.
Apple states that more time will be freed up for users to access the internet as loading was twice as quick as using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
Chief executive at Apple Steve Jobs said that the new equipment will enhance usability.
"We think Windows users are going to be really impressed when they see how fast and intuitive web browsing can be with Safari," he stated.
The full safari 3 application is set to be made available in October as part of the 10.5 Leopard product.
