1967 The Monkees Score their 4th US No.1 LP of the Year |
The Monkees scored their 4th US No. 1 LP of the year with ‘Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd,’ setting a record that has yet to be broken.
The album’s title was based on the astrological signs of the four band members. Because band members Davy Jones and Nesmith shared the same star sign, Jones’ name was added to the end of the title to avoid confusion. The album sold over 2 million copies and is particularly noteworthy for its pioneering use of the Moog Synthesiser. |
