Gianni Versace was one of the most renowned fashion designers of the late 20th Century. He was influenced by Andy Warhol and modern abstract art and designed clothes for celebrities such as Jon Bon Jovi, Madonna, Tina Turner, Tupac Shakur and Diana, Princess of Wales. He died tragically outside his house in Miami when he was gunned by spree killer Andrew Cunanan who later committed suicide with the same handgun with which he had killed Versace.
