Nelly Furtado is a Canadian singer/songwriter of Portuguese decent. Furtado first jumped into the limelight with her debut album ‘Whoa Nelly!’, which won a Grammy Award for the single ‘I’m Like A Bird.’ She returned to success in 2006 with her singles ‘Promiscuous’ and ‘Maneater,’ winning the World Music Award for Best Pop/Rock Artist.
