1956 Jerry Lee Lewis Marries His 13 Year Old Cousin
Jerry Lee Lewis was a famous American Rock ‘n’ Roll singer who was embroiled in scandal when the British media during his 1958 Tour of the country discovered that his third wife also happened to be his cousin who was aged 13.

The scandal followed the musician back to his home country and his career fell into ruin with many former supporters dropping him from their playlists, contracts and tours.

He went from a $10000 a night performer to a $100 a night beer joint entertainer. Although he was still signed to Sun Records, he stopped recording, only restrating when he was pushed by a friend.

Lewis career recovered somehat during the mid 1960s, especially in Britain and Germany where he recorded the album ‘Live at the Star Club,’ which is widely thought of as the greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll album of all time.
