1985 Ian Stewart
Ian Stewart is often referred to in the music industry as the Sixth Stone for his ambiguous roll in the band The Rolling Stones.

He was one of the original members of the group, playing piano for the band in their formative days but ‘officialy left’ the band at the bequest of band manager Andrew Loog Oldham after Oldham decided that Stewart did not fit the bill in terms of looks and the band’s publicity.

Despite officially leaving, Stewart continued to tour with The Stones as their road manager and pianist. Unlike his flamboyant band mates, Stewart retained the same dress sense throughout his career, sporting what many would describe as a highly unfashionable hair cut, which contrasted directly with the hip image of Jagger and the rest of his crew.

In December , Stewart began to have respiratory problems and went to the hospital to have himself examined. He suffered a heart attack and died whilst in the waiting room of the clinic. He was due to meet with Keith Richards after the hospital visit to discuss the band’s plans for their album ‘Dirty Work.’
