1965 Will Carling
Will carling was a rugby player who played for club side Harlequins and England, becoming the youngest ever England captain at the age of 22.
He was one of the most successful of English captains, leading his country to two back to back Five Nations Grand Slam titles in 1991 and 1992.
He also led his country to the final of the Rugby World Cup in 1991 and again to another grand slam victory in 1995, a feat that was not to be repeated by England until 2003.
After he resigned the England captaincy, he was still selected ahead of Jeremy Guscott in his favourite position at outside centre.
